Part two of the guide

Improve the Content Idea Engine

The same engine from part one, four more prompts. Now it reads the post before it borrows from it, scores with five pillars where one is counted from the data, knows your own content, and keeps the ideas you like.

Start with part one

This is part two. Every prompt below changes an engine you already have, so you need the part one build sitting in a folder on your computer first. If you have not made it yet, read Part one, build it, run it for a few mornings, then come back here.

After two weeks of real use

Four things showed up

The engine worked. It ran every morning and the ideas were fine. But four problems turned up that you only find by using the thing every day.

01

The sources were weak

One card carried a DM agent idea for a small brand, cited to a post about email inboxes, in Thai. The connection was one word. The engine only ever saw the headline, never the hook or the format or why it worked. And about a third of the pile was junk: wrong language, wrong niche, one post from 2022.

02

Scoring was three opinions

Stop, Payoff and Fit, and all three are guesses. Nothing in the score came from the data the whole tool is built on. And it could not tell a demo that only shows a result from a video you actually take something away from.

03

It did not know my own content

My best posts were not on screen anywhere, and the writer never saw them. The app had pulled them the day I built My DNA, worked out my median, and then never showed them to anyone, me included.

04

Ideas vanished after three days

Ideas lived for three days and disappeared. The only way to keep one was to script it, so there was no record of what the engine predicted and no way to find out whether a score was any good.

How it's improved

Four prompts, read out loud

None of this is a rebuild. Each prompt changes the engine you already have and keeps everything that works. You need nothing new: same Claude Code, same Apify account, same folder.

01

Fix the sources

Drops posts that are not in English, older than 90 days, or without a badge, then checks what is left against your DNA. Every source that survives gets a short breakdown: the hook, the format, why it performed. When an idea cites a source it has to name what it borrowed, or the source is dropped.

Prompt 1
02

The new judge

Five pillars instead of three opinions. Proof is counted from the data, not guessed. Fit is the gate: under 6 and the idea is out. Anything with a strong hook and nothing to take away is rewritten before it is ever scored.

Prompt 2
03

My Content

Your own posts on screen at last, each with a badge for how many times your own median it did. The writer gets your top five as evidence, and the judge gets your three best and three weakest as anchors for what an 8 and a 4 look like for you.

Prompt 3
04

The Ideas Bank

Keep an idea and it stays forever, with a status you set: Saved, Scripted, Filmed, Posted, Dropped. Mark one Posted, pick the post it became, and the card shows the real views next to the score it was given.

Prompt 4
The four prompts

Paste these, one at a time

Open Claude Code in the folder where your engine already lives, not an empty folder this time. Paste prompt one, wait for it to finish, then paste the next. Read them first: they are the whole change, in English.

PROMPT 01 of 04

Fix the sources

Clean, break down, name what was borrowed

Open the Idea Engine in this folder. We are improving it, not rebuilding it. Keep everything that works.

The ideas cite sources that barely relate to them. Fix that.

Clean the sources first. Before the idea writer sees anything, drop posts that are not in English, older than 90 days, or without an outlier badge. Then use one quick Claude call to check each remaining post, thread and comment against my DNA and drop anything that is not really about my niche. Show me how many were kept and dropped.

Then break down every source that survives. For each one, have Claude write a short breakdown: the hook that stops people, the format, the triggers it pulls, why it performed, and what is worth borrowing. Do it in one batch call, save each breakdown so a post is only analyzed once, and show it when I click a source. The writer gets these breakdowns, not just headlines.

Then make the connection explicit. Every time an idea cites a source, the writer writes one line saying what it borrowed, named from that breakdown. If it cannot name it, drop the source. If nothing is left, the idea is original. Show that line under Sparked by, and stop cutting off the source titles.

A few rules. No source sparks more than two ideas a day. A trend needs at least two sources. Never force a source type: if the evidence is not there, write fewer of that kind, and the board does not have to show every type. If fewer than fifteen clean sources survive, run a fresh scan on my DNA phrases first instead of stretching what is left.

My Reddit list has subreddits that are just people posting videos. Suggest replacements where people actually ask questions, and ask me before changing it.

Regenerate today's ideas and show me the board.

PROMPT 02 of 04

The new judge

Five pillars, one counted from the data

Rebuild the scoring. Replace the three scores with five pillars, each 1 to 10, with a one-line reason for every number.

Stop: would a stranger hold for the first three seconds.

Useful: does the viewer leave with something they did not have. 9 or 10, they can do it themselves tomorrow. 7 or 8, they now know something concrete: what is possible, what it costs, where it breaks, an honest verdict. 4 or below, spectacle only. The topic does not decide this, the video does. A result on its own scores low. The result plus the how and the verdict scores high, even if most viewers will never copy it.

Spread: would someone share it, save it, or argue about it in the comments.

Proof: has the market already shown demand. Not an opinion. Compute it from the sources the idea cites: their multipliers, how many mined comments asked for it, whether a watched creator broke out with it. Originals get 0 and that is fine.

Fit: can I credibly make it, and does it pull people toward my offer.

Rules. Fit under 6 means the idea is out. All five add up to the total, out of 50. Too close to its source costs two points on Spread. The judge must see the source breakdowns, not just the idea.

One more thing. Any idea with Stop 8 or higher and Useful 4 or lower gets rewritten before scoring: keep the hook, replace the payoff with something the viewer actually takes away, and name it in the title. Drop the original. Score the rewrite like any other idea. On the board it is just an idea.

Originals cite nothing, so give them Proof another way: match each original to the sources about the same topic and score it from those, two points lower than a direct source. Hold three seats on the board for originals scoring at least 30, and ask the writer for at least five originals out of twenty.

Show the five pillars and the total on every card, with the reasons when I expand it. Regenerate today's board.

PROMPT 03 of 04

My Content

Your posts, and anchors for the judge

Add a My Content screen. The data is already here: when we built My DNA the app saved my last 30 posts from each account, with views, likes, comments, shares, dates and thumbnails. Show them.

At the top, one box per platform with my median views. Under that, my posts as cards: thumbnail, title, platform, and a badge with how many times my own median it did, like 20x your normal. Stats: views, views per day, likes, likes per view, how long ago. Buttons: Open post, and Read my audience, which mines that post's comments the same way we mine other people's.

Group the same video across platforms into one card. Let me hide a post. Add a refresh that re-pulls my accounts, once a week unless I force it.

Run the same breakdown we built for other people's posts on mine, so I can see why my winners won.

Connect it to the ideas. Give the writer my top five posts of all time as evidence. An idea can be a follow-up to one of my posts or a remix of it, never a remake. When an idea builds on one of my posts, that post is a cited source and its multiple of my median feeds the Proof score, the same as a stranger's post would. Comments mined from my own posts count as demand, and stronger than strangers' comments, because these are my people asking.

Now that the app has my posts, give the judge anchors: my three best and three weakest, with their numbers, as what an 8 and a 4 look like for me. Re-score today's board so I can see what moved.

PROMPT 04 of 04

The Ideas Bank

Keep, statuses, and the real number

Right now ideas disappear after three days unless I script them. Add an Ideas Bank.

Put a Keep button on every idea card, on the board and on the bench. Kept ideas go to a new Bank tab and stay there forever. Each one has a status I can change: Saved, Scripted, Filmed, Posted, or Dropped. Scripting an idea moves it to Scripted automatically. Keep the original score, the sources, the "what I borrowed" lines and the date it was written.

When I mark an idea as Posted, let me pick which of my posts it became from My Content. From then on the idea shows that post's real views and its multiple of my median right on the card, next to the score it was given. That is how we will find out whether the scoring is any good.

The bank talks back to the writer. Kept ideas are never re-suggested. Ideas I have marked Dropped join the dismissed list. And once an idea is Posted, the writer treats it like one of my own posts: follow-ups yes, remakes no.

Bank screen: filters by status and by type, newest first, and a small summary at the top: how many saved, scripted, filmed, posted.

Each one is a real build, so give it time. If a step trips, add one plain sentence to the prompt saying what came back wrong. Never a file.

The first scoring pass

Five pillars, one floor

Every idea is scored from 1 to 10 on five things, each with a one line reason sitting next to the number. Four of them are judgement. One is counted.

Stop1 to 10

Would a stranger hold for three seconds?

The opening has to earn the rest of the video from someone who has never heard of you.

Useful1 to 10

Does the viewer leave with something they did not have?

Tiered. 9 or 10, they can do it themselves tomorrow. 7 or 8, they now know something concrete: what is possible, what it costs, where it breaks. 4 or below, spectacle only.

Spread1 to 10

Would someone share it, save it, or argue about it?

The comment section counts. An idea that sits too close to the post it came from loses two points here.

Proof1 to 10

Has the market already shown demand?

Counted from the sources the idea cites, not an opinion: their multipliers, whether a watched creator broke out with it, how many mined comments asked for it, how many upvotes the thread pulled.

Fit1 to 10

Can you credibly make it?

The gate. Your voice, your lanes, and if you sell something it has to bring people toward it. Under 6 and the idea is out, whatever the other four say.

The five add up to a total out of 50, and every number carries its reason when you expand the card.

This is the first scoring pass. The finishing pass below moves the final system to four scores out of 40: Stop, Viewer Value, Spread and Fit. Proof stays visible as evidence, separate from the total.

Closing the loop

The bank tells you if the scores are any good

A score is a prediction. Until you write down what happened afterwards it is only a number that felt right on the day. The bank is the part that answers back, and it takes about ten seconds a week to keep honest.

01

Keep it

Keep sits on every card, on the board and on the bench. A kept idea stays forever with its scores, its sources and the lines saying what it borrowed.

02

Mark it Posted

Move the status as you go: Saved, Scripted, Filmed, Posted, Dropped. Scripting sets it for you. When you mark one Posted, pick which of your posts it became.

03

Read the real number

From then on the card shows that post's real views and its multiple of your median, sitting next to the score it was given before you filmed it.

Optional, after the four prompts

The finishing pass

The walkthrough goes beyond the four prompts. The next changes use two written briefs, handed to Claude Code as files. The first tightened the concepts, the evidence and the judge, and moved the scoring to four pillars out of 40 with Proof shown as evidence instead of scored. The second made the cards compact, varied the framing, added a tie-break order for equal scores, and made the runs faster. The app in the last minutes of the video is past the four prompts because of these two. Do the four prompts first.

Save the file into your engine folder and tell Claude Code: read this brief and implement it, keep everything that works. Expect each one to be a long build, longer than any of the four prompts. Both are free to read before you decide.

What it costs to run

Use your existing accounts

Keep using the Claude Code plan and Apify account from part one. These prompts improve the same engine in the same project folder.

Usage depends on your setup, source volume and the changes you run. Your account dashboards and the engine's run details show the actual usage for your build.
